Cormorant Bay Wivenhoe DamLate Afternoon at Atkinsons Dam

Fernvale Area

Cormorant Bay
Cormorant Bay is a very popular day area on the shores of Lake Wivenhoe on the Brisbane Valley Highway near the dam wall. It is equipped with electric barbeques, shelter sheds and picnic tables, toilet facilities and a large childrens playground.

Fernvale to Lowood Rail Trail

Entry and Exit at Fernvale Futures Complex, Brisbane Valley Highway. The track is suitable for walking and riding bicycles and horses.

This park has electric barbeques, picnic and toilet facilities as well as a childrens playground and is located next to the Fernvale Information Centre in the Fernvale Futures Complex.

This Lookout is on the Wivenhoe -Somerset Road and has viws across Wivenhoe Dam and Splityard Creek Dam.

Stumer Park
This park  is located on Burns St, Fernvale and has toilet and a skateboard facility.

Twin Bridges
Twin Bridges is located on Wivenhoe Pocket Road just outside of Fernvale. It has picnic facilities and is a popular day area for swimming.

The Aquatic centre is located in Hope Street, Kilcoy.
Kilcoy Sports & Recreation Centre

Yowie Park
This park in Hope Street, Kilcoy has picnic, BBQ facilities a childrens playground and Toilets and is also the location of the Visitor information Centre.
Look out for the Yowie in the park.

Trail Starts at Railway Station, George Street Linville and is 23Km  suitable for walking or riding bicycles or horses.

Linville to Moore Rail Trail
Trail starts at Linville Railway Station, George st Linville and is 7km to Moore. The track is suitable for walking or riding your bicycle or horse.

Jean Bray Place and Lowood Clock Park
The park is located on the Cnr Main and Peace Streets and has picnic tables, electric barbeques, childrens playground, half court basketball, skate bowl and toilet facilities.

Lowood Reservoir Park and Lookout
Located on Reservior Rd this park is equipped with picnic tables and shelters. The reservoir has been painted with murals and the lookout provides views of Wivenhoe Pocket, Wivenhoe Dam and the Mountains beyond.

Lowood Swimming Pool
A recreational facility located in Main Street, Lowood

Lowood to Fernvale Rail Trail
The entry Exit Point is at the restored Lowood Railway Station, Railway Street, Lowood. The trail is suitable for walking and riding bicycles or horses.

On the Cnr D'Aguilar Hwy & Eskdale Road has facilities for picnicing a childrens playground toilets and tennis courts.

Moore to Linville Rail Trail
This section starts at the Stanley Gates Park and heads to Linville. The track is suitable for walking and riding a bicycle or horse.
